So I am all moved in, photos of my place is sure to come. It reminds me of an apartment in New York, Small but everything has it’s place. I am more optimistic than I was yesterday. I haven’t really made any friends yet but I really haven’t been anywhere either. Driving around is a bit confusing. There are a lot of one way roads and it’s confusing on how to get to buildings because of it. So far I met a couple of the roomies down the hall, Ricardo and Tim. Tim is also a SCAD student, and Ricardo helped me with my internet but other than that I haven’t talked to them really. I am right next to the bathroom thank god, I can rinse my brushes and stuff easily.
It’s really quiet here. Like super dooper quiet, almost erie. Everyone I talk to says you gotta stay in “well lit” areas. I remember being able to walk/bike anywhere in Gville without feeling like someone was going to mug me or something.
I am just ready for school to start already so I can start meeting people. This isn’t summer of 2009 where I literally just sat up in my room drawing and coloring. I actually want to make memories and meet different people. But I moved here for a reason, I moved because I knew if I didn’t do something with my life, something different, I would regret it. I just feel home-sickness for my family and friends. I didn’t realize how much I was leaving behind, but it’s only 4 hours away. Driving sucks, but it shouldn’t be so bad after driving from San Diego. That took like 4 days all day long. Anyhow, just an update. Photos to come!
